Louise is a facilitator at Wellcome Collection with a background in heritage and conservation. Her research at Wellcome focuses on the stories behind objects and major events, bringing forward hidden histories and exploring topics previously considered ‘taboo’.

Booking a ticket for a free event does not guarantee you a place. You should aim to arrive 15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start to claim your place. If you do not arrive on time, your place may be given to someone on the waiting list.

If this event is fully booked, you may still be able to attend. We will operate a waiting list, which opens 30 minutes before this event starts. Arrive early, and we’ll give you a numbered ticket. If there are any unfilled places just before the start time, we will invite you to enter in order of ticket number.

Conversations About Death

Join our Visitor Experience Team for a conversation about untimely death.   

We’ll explore questions like why an early or unexpected death can have such a big impact and if there’s a right way to cope.  

You’ll be in small groups, each with a facilitator. We’ll have a discussion, with prompts and an activity. You’re free to say as much or as little as you’d like. Or you can just listen.   

There will be a Chill-Out Room for you to relax in, with cushions, blankets, ear defenders, earplugs and stim toys. Tea and coffee will be provided.   

Doors will close at 14:15, after which you will not be able to join the conversation. This is to create a confidential, safe space.
